The C&AG audit around 290 accounts of government departments and a wide range of non-commercial public bodies and educational institutions and are focussed on improving the use of public money and resources and strengthen public accountability.

The Role

Reporting to a Deputy Director, this role is a senior management position with full responsibility for a team of auditors and the completion of audits and reports. This role will encompass a high level of responsibility and a wide variety of work and clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying audit and reporting policies, strategies and standards effectively. This role will also include responsibilities such as managing team members and reviewing their work. The successful candidate will work alongside a dedicated and highly skilled workforce to serve the public through their work and supporting the public accountability process.
