Colette Drinan
Secretary and Director of Audit
Colette has been Secretary and Director of Audit since 2019. As well as being the Accounting Officer for the Office, she directs the programme of audit for central government appropriation accounts. She has experience of directing the performance audit programme, as well as audits of State bodies.
Colette is a member of the Board of Auditors of the European Stability Mechanism. She previously served on the Evaluation and Audit Advisory Committee of the International Civil Aviation Organisation and has chaired the Supervisory Committee of OLAF, the EU anti-fraud agency.
She joined the Office in 2013 from the Central Bank of Ireland, where, over a 12-year period, she held a number of roles in regulatory supervision, including departmental management. She trained as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Colette is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and holds a Master of Accounting degree from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce (International) degree from University College Dublin.
