This report examines three site purchases in the Dublin area to establish whether a well-defined business case was in place and how the Department of Education and Skills ensured value for money was achieved in relation to the purchase price. The three sites were bought for a combined total of just over €67 million and accounted for just over half of the Department’s expenditure on sites between 2014 and 2018.
The Department is seeking to maximise the potential value of the sites by locating both a primary and a post-primary school on each of the two sites and is examining its policies in relation to site utilisation generally.

This report presents an overview of Ireland’s expenditure on ODA and outlines funding provided since 2012 in response to the humanitarian situation in Syria. The report also describes the control framework established by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to ensure that humanitarian funding reaches the intended recipients and is spent for the purposes intended.

The NTMA Act 1990 requires the Comptroller and Auditor General to report to Dáil Éireann with respect to the correctness of the sums brought to account by State bodies each year. The Comptroller and Auditor General is satisfied that the accounts give a true and fair view of the assets, liabilities and financial position of the Council at end 2018 and of its income and expenditure for the year.
